Temples and countryside on mountain bikes
Enjoy a day on a bicycle in Siem Reap country side, along the rices fields and traditional villages and visiting some lesser known temples.
Difficulty: Easy, kids from 10 old up

8am : Set off on a bike ride between the moats of Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat taking you through primitive jungle. Visit the east gates of Angkor Thom, from Death Gate to Victory Gate via the high surrounding wall of Angkor Thom. Distance 5km.
Continue by tuktuk to the village. Local lunch at a villager’s home where you can join in a workshop of traditional incense making. Visit the local crafts in the village and, if you wish, take part in a Buddhist blessing ritual in the pagoda.
Return by tuktuk to the temples of Angkor with a meeting point at Ta Som.
Continue the bike ride from Ta Som to Preah Khan along forest roads across a flexible bridge and via the French dam (Spean Youl). Visit Ta Nei and Preah Khan. Distance 6km.
5pm : Return to your hotel by tuktuk.
This bike day has been specially designed for Siem Reap A La Carte, and is suitable for all ages and levels. You are free to curtail the bike ride at any time and continue the course by tuktuk.
